Important Reminder About Cabin Rentals

Recreational residences in Forest Service Tracts are not intended for commercial use. Commercial use violates our permit contract with the Forest Service and is not consistent with our neighborhood environment.  This does not mean that owners can’t accept some financial or in-kind help with expenses from family and friends who use our cabins.  What is does mean is that the commercial rental of our cabins is not allowed, and any rental is restricted.  Cabins can be officially rented for no more than 14 days during the year and owners must have approval from the Forest Supervisor.  Thanks for your compliance with this important regulation.

Note from Sheryl O'Brien

Spring has arrived and it so beautiful up here in the mountains.   Please beware that our bears are very active and hungry.

I will be around this summer but not working much with the cabins. Our department will have an intern working on the inspections this summer and will be the contact for the recreation residences.  Our intern’s name is Ana she arrives May 23.  Ana’s number is (530) 543-2651.

My contact will be the same and of course I will return phone calls if it is something Ana cannot handle or is not familiar with.

Thank You,

Sheryl O’Brien, Permit Administrator
